The Confidence mouthpiece allows the Horse more tongue room in the centre of the bit and the generous forward curve to the bar of the mouthpiece allows for jaw and tongue room behind the bit and as a non jointed bit has no pinch or collapse to the signal. As the reins are used together the whole mouthpiece is pulled backwards onto the tongue evenly pressing the tongue down into the lower jaw until it reaches the bars of the mouth, the tongue has plenty of room to move up and fill the space created by the port.
Very useful for Horses or Ponies that are uncomfortable with
· any sort of joint or joints
· any pinch or collapse to the mouthpiece
· or are very busy in the mouth
Show Pelham: the show Pelham cheek has a neat appearance on the face particularly good on pony and small horse elegant faces. It has a loose bradoon ring which means the top rein has a little bit of a delay to the action so that the top rein is not pulled back strongly into the mouth. This Bit is worn on a Snaffle Bridle not a Double bridle. This bit comes on a 4" Shank

The Symmetry this is the only one of my mouthpieces that does two completely different things if a horse is very busy in the mouth and is too light and needs to draw the rein forward this mouthpieces actively encourages a horse to move towards and push his tongue forward to the contact .As the reins are used together the whole mouthpiece curves around the tongue the tongue evenly pressing the tongue down into the lower jaw. This mouth will be too exacting on this cheek if the Horse has a tendency to put the tongue over the bit. At the other end of the scale if a Horse is very heavy and solid on the bit the Symmetry often lightens them up as long as again there is not tendency to put the tongue over the bit

· or at the other end of the scale are very solid and heavy on the rein
Ordinary Pelham: allows you to ride with one mouthpiece in the Horses mouth but to have the advantage of riding with two reins. It is a very useful bit if you need to ride with double reins, and the horse cannot for some reason be ridden in a Double Bridle. It is also an easy bit, fitted with a mild mouthpiece, to start a less accomplished rider on the road to using two reins. For the clearest signal to the horse the Pelham should always be used with two reins, the top rein simply pulls the bit back in the horse’s mouth without activating the curb. The bottom rein activates the curb. Used to best effect you gently use each pair of reins in varying degrees to get the desired degree of control or tilt of the head.

The Doubler mouthpiece instead of having large wide joints that do not fit well between the top of the Horses tongue and the roof of the mouth this bit has small ball bearings and a very small barrel. As the reins are used together the whole mouthpiece is pulled around the tongue and lower jaw, the mouthpiece has a structured feel in the centre of the tongue to dissuade leaning on the bit.
Very useful for Horse or Ponies that need to
· Pay more heed to the mouthpiece
· Are a little strong and too forward into the bit
· That block on one side as you flex or turn
· That are a little heavy in the hands
Sizing it would appear in cm that they only come in 5 5 1/4" and 5 3/4" in reality I have not had any problems fitting them the 5 3/4 does not come up very big and I have successfully fitted it so would say its more like 5 1/2" if that is any help

Finesse Hack Weymouth : has an upwards sweep to the mouthpiece this is only one of two mouthpieces in the range that does not have a forward curve when static but allows a little overall tongue room when ridden at the optimum working angle. It has a very definite action and a real lift to the Horses frame
Very useful for Horses that need
· a lift to the frame
· a lift to the shoulder
· to transfer weight backwards
· be lighter into good hands
The Hack Weymouth Cheek comes on a 7" shank and is designed to work on three balanced pressures as the reins are used the Horse feels downward mouth pressure poll pressure and then these two pressures are balanced out by the chain or jaw strap moving onto the jaw to stop the first two pressures from over riding each other. It is crucial that the curb chain is set well so that the shank of the Weymouth only turns to about 45% and then the chain snugly tucks onto the jaw. Too tight and the Horse gets no release or reward and too loose and the pressures are unbalanced and the Horse will have to resist to escape. The correct mouthpiece should encourage the Horse forward into the contact and the three pressures control head frame, weight transferral and are your brakes! It is really important that the cheeks are the right length if they have been constructed poorly and not in balance then the bit simply does not work
The Finesse Weymouth works best if the horse is not too strong with the Harmony Loose Ring if the Horse is strong with the Response Loose Ring

Pony Showing Bits
Harmony Eggbut Snaffle
The Harmony mouthpiece actively encourages a Pony to move towards and push his tongue forward to the contact .As the reins are used together the whole mouthpiece wraps around the tongue and lower jaw, taking in the whole of the tongue the sides of the lips and the sides of the bars and the sides of the lips in a perfect hoop. As the Round Lozenge is the correct length and the joints are neat and non invasive the Horse should move forward into the contact. Both branches of the bit are curved forward to go with the shape of the Horses tongue and roof of the mouth unlike some Lozenge Snaffles that really pinch the Horses lower jaw . Good young Pony starter Bit.
Very useful for Ponies that are uncomfortable with
· A large joint or joints
· Large long plates or lozenges
· That block on one side as you flex or turn
· or are very busy in the mouth
· or do not draw the contact forward
sized for Ponies 4 1/2 " 4 3/4 " and 5"
