Exchange and Return Policy

I want to make it clear I do not run a Bit Bank. If you just want to try out all sorts of different Bits with no strategy for success please don't use me as that is not how I want to operate. There are a few good Bit Banks to choose from who allow you to try Bits and change them quickly.

Bitting Horses is not a quick fix
Remember on the day at a Bitting Day at no point do I push you to have a bit and we will have agreed that your Horse has gone a lot better than in your own bit If your Horse has gone well and you are patient in your introduction it should carry on going well
Remember you are being offered a better balanced bit with more signalling ability and reward not a sudden and miraculous change in your Horses schooling and abilities
If however you move the goal posts don't school for a better way of going it is your fault not the fault of the Bit
I am committed on my part to try to help in the best way I can and am happy to change Bits over if and when you have worked in them long enough to give your Horse the best possible chance to be able to respond so something like 5 easy sessions and then a further 20 sessions before you can genuinely say it does not work

If you have an established mouth problem then the Horse will need time to be convinced that he is more comfortable and to learn to relax and on your part you have to modify your signals to reflect and encourage him to be able to change
Or if it is a head carriage problem then even if we get a better feel straight away the Horse will simply not be able to maintain a new frame and needs to be carefully ridden with lots of stretching and relaxing exercises in between working in a better frame until his muscles can maintain that new frame

With a Bit as an exchange you are allowed to use for the above stated time . And then I am prepared to change once to try to get it right.

REFUND
I will refund your Money if absolutely necessary but you must fulfil a few criteria; email me  to start the process
I am away from home bitting a lot of the time.
The Bit as a return must come back in pristine condition and safely packaged within 5 days of contact .

If you are then still determined  to try to use me as a Bit Bank then Bit Bank Credit applies £10 off Bits under £60 £15 of Bits between £60 and £80 and £20 off Bits between £80 and £100 As I have to immediately restock with replacement Bits and then have to sell the returned Bit on again.

I am adamant on this just dont use me if you want to return bits without strategy or any thought of working to improve your horse as part of a consultation you are allowed to change bits at the end of your trail period once if you pay the postage Which surely is a good deal and generous on my part but I wont give full refunds if you insist on returning a bit Bit Bank fees will apply on returns so it really up to you if you  And your consulation fee if non refundable
I have stated my position on this matter

Copyright
I have spent years working very hard at what I do and although I am very happy to help people be it with their Horses or with copy or ideas and most people know that I am a fairly generous and sane person I do and will strongly object to people stealing my ideas and words
So as a polite warning to all you who have copied my words for your articles and brochures or my nosebands for your American market or my bit names to presumably lead people to think you are associated with me please don't !

Observations
Travel: I love coming out to yards and meeting new people and horses but you do have to be realistic if I am 3 hours from you and you only have one horse for me to see it is just not possible to come out to do just one and spend 8 hours doing so I have some amazing friends/clients who allow people to use their facilities and join in on a day I am there so please ask if there is any where you can come to join an existing day
